Jeffery A. Hunnes
Jeff is a Montana native. He was born in Miles City and raised in Eastern Montana. Jeff has continued ties to his family’s ranch on the Great Porcupine Creek in Rosebud County and his Norwegian roots. He obtained his law degree from the University of Montana Law School in 1983. For the first two years after Jeff was admitted to the Bar, he served as a Law Clerk to the Hon. William J. Speare, Montana Thirteenth Judicial District Court. Jeff was an instructor in Civil Litigation in the Legal Assistant Program at Rocky Mountain College from 1988-1992.
Previously, Jeff was a shareholder at the law firm of Guthals, Hunnes & Reuss, PC in Billings, Montana. In 2020, Guthals, Hunnes & Reuss merged with the law firm of Felt Martin PC. Jeff is a shareholder and director at Felt Martin PC and continues his active law practice.
Hiking, camping, fishing, skiing and travel are some of Jeff’s favorite activities when he’s not in the office—particularly outings in his favorite area the Absaroka Beartooth Wilderness. Jeff’s adventurous spirit has led him on many exciting expeditions, including treks with his wife and kids to the South Base Camp of Mount Everest in Nepal and across the Inca Trail in Peru.
